Trying to make a comeback
It's been almost two weeks since I've blogged. This wasn't on purpose. It just seems that I've had nothing to say. My life seems pretty inconsequential when I look at all the horrors happening around the world. So few people seem to care.
My thyroid levels have been wacky which can cause some depression. I'm sleeping and eating fine and don't think I'm depressed. I do, however, feel down. The thought of 4 more years with a president who still says "nucular". Sheesh! After 4 years you'd think he'd get it right.
Adam had his Arrow of Light Ceremony this past week. There was a lot of drama leading up to the ceremony as we found out the troop he was planning to join was being lead by religious zealots who do not care about the Boy Scout law. To join the troop my son would have needed to sign a code of conduct promising to have behavior which is edifying to Christ and saying that the Scout Law is an extension of the Ten Commandments. As we are not christians and as this is completely against Scout regulations we refused to sign the form. Consequently, we had to do some last minute juggling to find a Scout Master willing to help Adam at the ceremony. The ceremony went very well and Adam was happy. We'll sort out the Troop stuff after the holidays.
Indoor soccer is going well. It may be Adam's all time favorite sport. Basketball started for Jared this week. Homeschool Resource Center is now on hiatus until the middle of January. We're getting ready for the relatives to arrive. They'll be here Wednesday through Saturday. Lots of cleaning to do. Many meals to prepare.
I'll try to stop in more often.

Too funny to read this -- I had just blogged for the first time since Monday after Halloween, LOL!
Doublecheck those thyroid levels, okay?
Welcome back :)
Just to let you know, I come, I notice you're not blogging, and then I debate leaving a note. But then I don't. Stupidly.
Happy that you're back!
